Terms and Conditions

At Bell Security Systems, we strive to keep things clear and straightforward. However, it’s essential to outline our Terms & Conditions to ensure compliance with UK laws and licenses, safeguarding both parties.

These terms are between you (‘the customer’) and Bell Security Systems (‘us’, ‘we’, ‘our’).

Purpose

Our security systems are designed to reduce the risk of loss or damage to your property and, in some cases, protect the well-being of those being monitored. While we aim to provide the highest level of protection, we cannot guarantee that the system is completely immune to tampering, removal, or interference by unauthorized individuals. Therefore, Bell Security Systems is not responsible for any direct or indirect losses incurred as a result of such occurrences.

Payment

Full payment is due upon completion of the installation, before the service engineer leaves the premises. Payment can be made by bank transfer, debit/credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, etc.), or PayPal. We do not accept cheques.

Orders canceled beyond the 14-day cooling-off period and within 24 hours of the scheduled installation will incur a £10 processing fee. Refunds will be made using the original payment method.

Costs

Quotes are valid for 14 days. Costs may be revised if:

  • You require work to be carried out more urgently.
  • The specification changes.
  • Your premises are unsuitable for the equipment, which was not apparent during initial discussions.
  • Circumstances arise that were not communicated to us when quoting, such as additional labor for cabling or accessing difficult areas.

Additional costs may apply for reconfiguration visits, out-of-hours work, or system modifications beyond the original scope.

Equipment

You have the right to cancel your installation within 14 days of booking, during which time you can receive a full refund. This applies to transactions over £42 made off-premises or online.

Our engineers conduct pre- and post-installation checks to ensure the quality of the system. Photographs may be taken for documentation purposes. A full demonstration will be provided once the installation is complete.

General

Quoted prices apply to installations within London, Essex, and Hertfordshire. For locations outside these areas, pricing is available upon request.

We will make every effort to complete installations promptly, but cannot be held liable for delays beyond our control. Full access to the premises and a reliable electricity supply must be provided. If delays occur due to restricted access or insufficient power, additional charges may apply.

You agree to allow us to take non-identifying photographs of the installation, which may be used on our website or digital platforms.

Warranty

We offer a 36-month warranty on all CCTV and alarm systems. If a fault arises, please contact us via our support email or phone. We will repair any hardware faults free of charge within the warranty period. The warranty excludes:

  • Damage caused by tampering, incorrect adjustments, or consumable items.
  • Products not supplied by us or changes made by third parties.
  • Call-outs due to user error or damage not caused by faulty equipment.

If a fault occurs due to user error, a call-out fee starting at £100 + VAT will apply. However, if a part is found to be faulty, it will be repaired or replaced under warranty at no additional cost.

Remote Viewing & IT Issues

If remote viewing cannot be configured during installation due to IT or internet issues, additional charges may apply for future visits or remote configuration. Bell Security Systems cannot be held responsible for changes in routers, ISPs, or other client-side IT issues.

Liability

Bell Security Systems is not liable for any damages caused by fire, power surges, flooding, neglect, or malicious interference, unless due to our negligence. We provide systems to assist in security but do not guarantee complete protection. We are not insurers and are not responsible for any loss of property or profits.

These terms do not affect your rights under the Sale of Goods Act or Unfair Contract Terms Act.

Force Majeure

Bell Security Systems is not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, or government orders.

Applicable Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of these regions.
